Privacy
Shiny Tracker is designed to keep hunt data private and local by default.
Data collection
- No account is required.
- The developer does not collect personal data.
- There is no tracking, third-party analytics, advertising SDK, or cross-app tracking.
Hunt data
User-created hunt data is stored as app data on your device by default. This can include hunt records, target, game, method, encounter counts, dates, optional nickname, and Dex marks. Hunt data is not sent to the developer.
iCloud, Apple Watch, and widgets
iCloud sync is optional and can be turned on or off by the user in Settings. If enabled, hunt data may sync through your personal iCloud account. The developer does not have access to your iCloud data. The Apple Watch app may mirror active hunts from iPhone and keep a local cache for offline counting. Widgets read local app data through the app group container. This watch and widget data is not sent to the developer.
Deleting data
You can delete app data by deleting hunts in the app and by removing the app's data from your device or iCloud settings where applicable.
