Controller and contact
Blue Snake, a trade name of Liudger Grünbauer's Dutch sole proprietorship, is the controller for personal data described on this page. App data collection
- No account is required.
- Blue Snake does not collect personal data through the app.
- There is no tracking, third-party analytics, advertising SDK, or cross-app tracking.
Hunt data
User-created hunt data is stored as app data on your device by default. This can include hunt records, target, game, method, encounter counts, dates, optional nickname, and Dex marks. Hunt data is not sent to the Blue Snake.
iCloud, Mac, Apple Watch, and widgets
iCloud sync is optional and can be turned on or off by the user in Settings. If enabled, hunt data may sync through your personal iCloud account across supported Apple devices, including iPhone and Mac. Blue Snake does not have access to your iCloud data. The Apple Watch app may mirror active hunts from iPhone and keep a local cache for offline counting. Widgets read local app data through the app group container. This Mac, watch, and widget data is not sent to Blue Snake.
Microsite and support data
Microsite hosting may process technical request data needed to deliver and secure this site, such as an IP address, browser or device information, requested page, and timestamp. If you contact support, Blue Snake processes the contact details, message, and technical details you provide only to answer and handle your request. Support information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for that purpose and applicable legal obligations.
Cookies, analytics, and sale
This microsite currently uses no analytics or advertising cookies and no website tracking. Blue Snake does not sell personal data.
Deleting data and your rights
You can delete app data by deleting hunts in the app and by removing the app's data from your device or iCloud settings where applicable. Where applicable, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or object to processing by emailing shinytracker@bluesnake.nl. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
